Logo design for KNB

Hey all of my followers, all two of you, thanks for the support. I haven't blogged in a while due to the joyous abundance of work.

So here goes. I am working on a couple of websites and some program training mostly. However, logo design/brand design has somehow crept in and become one of my number one requests. Not that I mind doing them, I just have less knowledge in this area than any of the other ones that my job encompasses. However, somehow I have managed to keep clients happy and give them exactly what they want. Hooray!

My latest logo design can be seen below. The client came to me and said that she liked old fashioned styles but that she desperately needed something more modern. the first image below shows what I originally came up with and below that you will see what we came up with together. The final result is a mixture of old and new and I think that it will work well for her business. I am just happy that she is satisfied and enthused about moving forward to a new web design. Let me know what you think if you happen to read this.

Thanks again for your continued support and please keep me in mind if you know anybody who needs and graphic design services or web design services. I will be happy to speak with anybody and help them figure out solutions for their unique company.

Wordpress Blogs

I am continuing to develop my Wordpress skills. This past week I finished up, what I think will be a very successful blog called The Art of Retail. The basic goal of this site is for a successful retailer to share a lot of his day to day philosophies, methods, tools, and values that have contributed to his success.

I have seen where this blog has started and I know where it's going. I plan to hear a lot of good stuff about this site in the not so distant future.

This whole project as fun, and ,again, I learned some cool new stuff with wordpress. The blog software keeps on impressing me more and more.

OK, back to work now. Let me know If you have any questions regarding blogging. Whether it is setting up your own blog or whatever you have questions about. Contact me here

Weekend Work

It seems like I am getting more done on the weekend than I manage to get done all week. I hope that my muse spills over into the upcoming week so that next weekend I can get some much needed r&r. I did manage to sneak away from work long enough to watch the remake of "The Day the Earth Stood Still". It wasn't too bad, of course it was lacking compared to the original.

Back to the work tip, I am continuing to hone my Wordpress Skills and I am having a lot of fun doing it. For those of you who don't know what Wordpress is I will try to explain it as briefly and as accurately as possible. It is a self-hosted blog tool. It works a lot like Blogger but it has some different features that make it unique. Many businesses use it. I would say that Blogger seems to be more like a social tool where Wordpress.org is more like a networking tool, if that makes any sense.

I have learned a lot about Wordpress over the last 6 months or so and it is really cool, not knocking Blogger, I am still using it. But I am looking forward to starting a new personal blog through Wordpress.

If you know a business that is in need of a blog for networking purposes and would like a professionally designed blog to rival competition please have them contact me.

Anyways, it is about 1:00 AM and I need to get some rest, YARD DUTY tomorrow.

Current Work

I have been having a lot of fun this week working on some new projects and they are really starting to shape into something that I am proud of. When I reflect back on the past 8 months I am amazed at how far this company has come and how much I myself have grown as an artist. It has taken a lot of patience on both our behalves and the great clients that we have worked with.

I am looking forward to watching this company mature even further and working with many more great clients.

Also, as a side note, I keep telling everybody to be patient because there is something big that we are working on. With any luck there will be a spectacular announcement within the next two weeks and this company will be a part of something much larger than what we ever envisioned.

Please, if you are a business owner, know any business owners, or are in a position to make decisions on your employer's behalf, contact us, we are working on something that could really make your business stand out.

Greg Harrelson Coaching

Well after a lot of time and hard work and re-work for everyone involved in this project, the site is finally winding down. Greg Harrelson Coaching is now officially live and online. I'm sure that there will be a few changes made after some feedback is received, however this site has gone through many evolutions to get to where it is now, and all parties including myself are pleased with the results.

If you get a chance go check out the site and see how it is utilizing many modern social networking strategies. Yet another accomplishment by our developing company.

I am looking forward to the next few projects that are officially underway which include web designs for a great wedding planner, a skilled photographer, and a natural treatment company. I also learned recently that there may be a series of sites for a local entrepreneur.

Be on the lookout for something huge for our local market courtesy of your friends at First Sight Digital. Working with our local businesses to help them promote and pass on great services, products and deals to you, our local consumer.

Its been a while

I haven't blogged in a while. I have been so busy trying to establish better communication with my clients that I have seriously neglected blogging.

Well here is a brief about what has been going on lately.

First, my daughter's birthday was just this past weekend and everything was perfect. She had tons of friends and tons of gifts. She is now 3 and I wonder where the time went.

Second, I have been working on a site that has gone through many phases and is now looking great and close to completion.

Third, I have been working with my business partner to get him up to speed on some new projects that we are working on. He is now helping me develop some new ideas for expanding the company and moving into some exciting new areas.

Fourth, there have been some major decisions made regarding a revolutionary idea for our area. We are close to doing something really cool and helpful for our community.

Fifth, there are many projects that are starting to develop quicker than expected and keeping up with everything has been a full time job.

Sixth, Our busy season is upon us and we are excited about working with new clients and continuing to help past clients build.

So there goes, I know that it is broad but you can only imagine how much work is going into all of this.

By the way, if you know of anybody who is looking for website design we are now working on developing some new template ideas and we are constantly keeping up with cutting edge ideas and technologies that will thrust companies ahead of their online competition.

We are also looking to do more identity designs (basically very extensive logos that fully encompass the purpose and ideals of your business).

That's all for now but I will keep everybody posted on upcoming events and new developments.

New Client Site Almost Done

Well, I am very close to wrapping up a new site for a great client. I have had the honor of working on several projects for this client and I think that we have done some great work together.

I am very excited about unveiling this site soon. It should do very well and will be guided and managed by two very intelligent guys who form a great team. I will post whenever the site is completed.

If you are reading this and you have worked on something really cool or interesting lately let me know. I always enjoy seeing how different each artist is and seeing the broad range of ideas that are always pushing the envelope.

Budget Beach

New site coming for new venture.

I, like many others, have been trying to locate deals on lunch, shopping, and pretty much everything else. It seems as though everyone is on a tighter budget than ever before. The economy has literally taken its toll on what use to be fun outings. It seems like just paying the bills is a success all in its own. I spend hours everyday searching the internet and local papers trying to find something inexpensive and fun to do or some new place to dine on my budget.

My new undertaking is to supply locals information on new establishments, local eateries, local shopping on a budget. I am in search of businesses that want to bring more traffic into their shops by advertising specials and deals that many may not know about. While this service will not be free, I am doing the math to figure out the best rate that I can give to advertisers and still make it economically possible for me to launch and maintain control of this site.

Also, I will be trying to promote local artists, of all sorts, by giving them another platform to gain exposure.

This will not be a "life at the beach" type of site. This will be a "good life at the beach on a budget" site. The music, visual art, etc.... will just be an added incentive while one peruses the site.

If you or anyone you know may be interested in obtaining ad space or just showcasing you artistic talents let me know at leo@firstsightdigital.com

Hopefully the site will be launched in the next couple of weeks, and if all goes well it will make a difference to both local shoppers and consumers.

A Face and Body Boutique (day spa) coming soon

Hey Everybody,

Today I would like to mention that I have been working with the owner of a new day spa opening in Little River. A Face and Body Boutique will be open soon and the owner is absolutely fantastic and seems to be offering some great services.

I recently designed her logo and I think that it fits her and her business well. You can take a look at it below. Also, attached is the back of her business card, it has her contact info and a list of some of her services. If you would like to schedule an appointment with her just call.

I have been by her spa several times and I will tell you that it is coming along very well. The atmosphere is very relaxed and there is a beauty salon and a photography company in the same building so, if you have the time, you can get your hair styled and get some beautiful pics of you or your entire family while you are there.

Please stop by A Face and Body Boutique to check out the newest day spa in Little River, SC.

Also, if you have the need for any graphic or web ad work give me a call at 843-283-8896, Ask for Leo.
